In July of 2013, Tony and Terri’s son, Michael Lombardi, came on board to add both his level of management expertise and his knowledge of seafood to the team. Tony and his wife, Terri Lombardi, and daughter, Denise Lombardi Smith, took on the challenge to reinforce the amazing reputation that Lombardi’s Seafood had in the community while enhancing quality and service to its new and existing loyal customers. In 2006, the Lombardi family decided to divest the large business.ĭuring the divestiture, Tony decided to purchase the Winter Park retail store. state of the art processing and distribution facility in south Orlando. In 2015, Lombardi’s moved from its original location and built an upscale market and cafe at 1888 W Fairbanks Ave. They began their new business at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Orlando Avenue where it was located for over 50 years. and his wife, Angie Lombardi, decided to leave the Tampa area and start their own business in Winter Park, FL, a suburb of Orlando. In 1961, as the Orlando market started to grow, Tony Lombardi, Sr. A few years later, he and his brothers opened a wholesale/retail seafood market in Tampa. After learning the shrimp business, he then landed a job with a local seafood wholesaler. started his seafood career as a deckhand on the Tampa shrimping fleet in the early 1950s. Lombardi’s Seafood of Winter Park is a third generation retail and wholesale premium seafood company.
